Ghana Project

Registered under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development, LESDEP is a private initiative with complete government backup. The specialized trainings in trade sectors are implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare and other agencies including NYC, ICCES, OIC and NBSSI.

It is one of most inspiring success stories of LESDEP wherein we have trained more than 60000 people in the country.
As the project has entered into phase 4 it has successfully opened offices in all 170 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana.
Some of the latest achievements of LESDEP Ghana phase 4:
  • A total of 150 persons living with disabilities in the Greater Accra Region trained under LESDEP were presented with start-up kits and equipment at a ceremony at the skills training centre in Accra.
  • Government through the LESDEP presented 15 trucks valued at GH¢567,600 to the Ghana Co-operative Butchers Association to help reduce transportation cost and facilitate the easy carting of animals to boost their business.
  • The Volta Regional Secretariat of LESDEP presented sets of photography equipment to 23 photographers in the Region in Ho.
